Dr Qing Ding
Founding Partner

Dr Ding completed his undergraduate studies at Peking University in 1984 and went on to earn a Doctorate from the University of Augsburg. He has successfully planned and executed several notable M&A and Joint Venture projects throughout his career. One of his accomplishments was his instrumental role in the Volkswagen Group China localisation project during the early 1990s. In 1992, Dr Ding made history as the first Chinese professional to assist Chinese companies like Flying Pigeon Group in acquiring German companies like Renak GmbH. Additionally, in 2018, he successfully provided a white knight for Grammar AG, protecting the company from a hostile investor.

Mr Hartmut Müller
European Partner

Mr Hartmut Müller has been a member of the executive board of Grammer AG since 2007 and served as the Chief Executive Officer from August 2009 to December 2018. He has an extensive network within Europe and enjoys a strong reputation in the automotive industry. In addition to his roles at Grammer AG, Mr Müller has also served as a member of the advisory board or supervisory board member for notable automotive companies such as IFA Rotorion, Wieland-Werke AG, and Bühler Electronic.

Dr Theo Trucksaess

Our European partner, Dr Trucksaess, brings significant commercial and investment banking expertise, having worked for renowned institutions such as Bayerische Vereinsbank AG, HypoVereinsbank AG, and Bankhaus Lampe KG, both in Germany and internationally. Dr Trucksaess held director and vice president positions, primarily catering to corporate clients, entrepreneurs, and family offices. Throughout their career in the financial sector, Dr Trucksaess has developed an extensive network of relationships, with a particular focus on the German Mittelstand, encompassing small and medium-sized enterprises.

Dr Ralf Cramer
Senior Advisor

 Dr Cramer served as a member of the Executive Board of Continental AG from 2009 to 2017, holding various key roles within the company. Notably, from 2013 to 2017, he served as the President and CEO of Continental China, overseeing regional operations. Since 2018, Dr Cramer has been an independent Industry Advisor, offering his expertise and guidance. He also holds positions on the boards of different international companies, including BBS Automation, Knorr-Bremse Truck, PSM International, and Metalsa.

Mr Sai Ma

Mr Ma has extensive experience spanning over 25 years in the life science industry, with a broad reach across China, the EU, the US, Japan, and India. As the founder and Vice President of AIDEA Pharma Co. Ltd, he successfully led the company through an initial public offering (IPO) on the Shanghai Market’s Science and Technology Innovation Board in July 2020. In addition, he played a crucial role in establishing Urihk Pharma Co. Ltd., a Sino-Indian joint venture entity focused on the Indian market.
Mr Ma has been the founder and Co-Chairman of CHBD (China Association of Healthcare Business Development) since 2012, further showcasing his commitment to promoting healthcare business development in China.

Mr Fengqi Gan
Senior Advisor

Mr Gan pursued his studies in Germany during the mid-1980s, providing him with an international educational background. He held senior executive positions at prominent organizations such as China State Shipbuilding Co. Ltd (CSSC) and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC). In these roles, he oversaw foreign cooperation and state-owned assets management. 
Mr Gan accumulated extensive working experience at CSSC and CSIC, further enhancing his expertise in the industry.
Moreover, Mr Gan served as the Vice Chairman of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, showcasing his involvement in the sector. He also served as a board member of Avic Johnson and held a senior consultant position at Guangxi Yuchai Group. These roles highlight his diverse involvement and advisory contributions to notable companies within the industry.

Carl CHEN
Senior Manager

Mr Carl Chen possesses over three years of professional experience specializing in M&A and cross-border transactions. His project portfolio spans across industries such as automotive, industrial, and healthcare. He holds a dual degree in biotechnology and business administration from Shantou University in China and a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Birmingham in the UK.
Among his notable experiences, Mr Chen has been involved in various projects, including the spin-off of Vitesco FQM to ActBlue, the sale of a German metal substrate producer, and the investment of Bosch China in BASIC Semiconductor. These examples highlight his expertise in navigating complex transactions and his ability to drive successful outcomes in different sectors.

Xin WANG
Senior Manager

Ms Xin Wang brings over four years of professional experience in M&A and cross-border transactions to her role. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in China and a master’s from EBS Business School in Oestrich-Winkel.
Throughout her career, Ms Wang has successfully executed projects in diverse industries, including automotive, industrial, and healthcare. Her expertise and involvement in these sectors demonstrate her ability to navigate complex transactions and deliver impactful results. Currently, she is leading Shentou’s projects in the light electric mobility industry. Ms Wang’s educational background and practical experience position her well for tackling challenges in the M&A and cross-border transaction landscape.

Krystal LU
Senior Manager

Ms Krystal Lu possesses an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, complemented by a bachelor’s degree from the South China University of Technology in China. Throughout her career, she has been involved in various projects spanning the automotive, semiconductor, and healthcare industries.
Notable accomplishments include her contribution to the acquisition of Ontec by Wuxi Lead and her advisory role for a German analogue/mixed-signal speciality foundry group, assisting in strategy formulation and cooperation initiatives in China. Ms Lu has established expertise in green energy and semiconductor, assuming responsibility for driving progress and success in these areas. 

Celina WANG
Manager

Ms Ping Wang holds a Master’s in Finance from the European Business School in Germany and a Bachelor’s degree in International Politics from Beijing Language and Culture University in China. She has actively participated in a business cooperation project for a prominent automotive component company. Additionally, she is deeply involved in an M&A project focused on In-vitro Diagnostics (IVD) companies in the medical devices industry. Ms Wang’s areas of expertise revolve around the automotive sector, the IVD industry, and other related fields. Her educational background and involvement in diverse projects equip her with valuable insights and skills to navigate these industries effectively.

Lei DING
Senior Manager

Mr Lei Ding holds a Master’s in Finance from WHU − Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar. Before joining Shentou Capital, he gained extensive work experience in investment banking at PwC and Rothschild & Co. His past projects there have covered the automotive, industrial and telecommunication industries. Having joined the Shentou team in 2021, he has more than four years of professional experience in M&A and cross-border transactions at Shentou. 

Being fluent in Mandarin, German, and English, Mr Lei possesses strong language proficiency, enabling him to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders effectively. He is currently responsible for the Shentou Capital German office in Darmstadt, focusing on our European business operations. With his expertise and cultural understanding, Mr Lei contributes to Shentou Capital’s endeavours in the European market.

Ms Pei holds a Master’s degree in Art History and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Economics. She pursued her studies at the University of Göttingen in Germany. With her background in art history, Ms Pei has gained valuable working experience in German galleries, museums, and exhibitions. Her roles have equipped her with excellent negotiation, coordination, communication, sales, and planning skills.
Being multilingual in Mandarin, German, and English, Ms Pei possesses strong language proficiency, enabling her to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively. She is currently based at the Shentou Capital German office in Darmstadt, where she focuses on European business operations.
